KDE 4 and Plasma

Being a little behind with things because of my diploma thesis, I just installed KDE 4 with Plasma.

All I can say is that I'm totally stunned - it's great. If you haven't already, give it a try yourself!

Austrian Artistic Nationals

Last week the Austrian nationals in canopy piloting and the artistic events took place in Klatovy (besides Hohenems). Again we participated in the Freefly event. And just for the fun in it, I did Freestyle too, though I never made a single freestyle jump before. Here you can watch some of the better moves of both events:

A list of the results can be found here.

Edit: Martin put two clips from that weekend on freefly.com. Here are the direct links:

Two great links for accordionists...

  • Hans Palm is hosting an article by Steve Keen about chord combining on the stradella system. Have been looking for a summary like that for quite some time. (Well, actually I just wasn't looking, but wanted to have a cheat sheet for quite some time.)
  • Chordhouse at looknohands.com has got a great virtual piano room, where you can display and listen to all kinds of chords online.

Tag the Bird 1.2 out

Yet another release of Tag the Bird is available. Version 1.2 should fix the long known problems on Unix systems.

Tag the Bird 1.1 out

Tag the Bird 1.1 just got approved by Mozilla.

Changelog:
  • Tag the Bird is now compatible with Thunderbird 2.0
  • Added French locales
  • Added support for IMAP accounts - finally! :)
And while waiting for approval of 1.1, I almost finished work on 1.2, which will be fixing the current UNIX related problems! Stay tuned.
